ABOUT JOHN
John Vitucci brings more than 27 years of legal experience in both the public and private sectors. Throughout his career, he has served as a prosecutor, civil litigator, and law clerk to multiple Staten Island Supreme Court Justices. Since returning to the New York State Unified Court System in 2010, John has drafted more than 1,600 judicial decisions, participated in over 100 suppression hearings, and assisted in more than 40 jury trials, giving him the experience and judgment to serve as Civil Court Judge from day one.
A lifelong North Shore Staten Island resident, John is deeply committed to his community. He has served as a member and officer of Staten Island Community Board No. 1 and has dedicated countless hours to coaching for Snug Harbor Little League baseball, soccer, and other youth sports, helping mentor the next generation.
John and his wife, Randie, are proud lifelong Staten Islanders who have raised their family in the community they proudly call home.
John attended P.S. 29, I.S. 27, Susan Wagner H.S., Columbia College, Columbia University, and Fordham University Law School.
John’s lifelong commitment to Staten Island, combined with his unmatched breadth of legal and courtroom experience, makes him uniquely qualified to serve as Civil Court Judge. Having grown up on the North Shore, he understands the neighborhoods and values that make our borough strong. From day one, John will bring fairness, integrity, and decades of practical legal experience to the bench, ensuring that every person who enters his courtroom is treated with respect and receives the justice they deserve.
